I have a stock braking system in my 81 z28 and I would like to upgrade the entire system. What is the best for my application with a $2500 budget? running 18 inch wheels.

Thanks for posting the link. I want to research my options before I buy. They make some nice stuff, I really like the booster/master combos.

The z06 stuff from kore3 sure is nice but that would be around 4K for front/rear/master/booster

What is your application? Is it a pure street car? Do you autocross? Road Race?

Like James stated, more information regarding your build and use would be helpful. If you already have wheels, you should check them for fitment as that may rule out many options right off the bat. Something else to consider is the parking brake as that can be a significant cost adder to any rear brake kit.

My car is mainly a street car but I will be road racing and drag racing whenever i get a chance. Yes I am looking for a parking brake with the system, I think that would be an important safety feature in case of a system failure.

If you're willing to piece together your own system with nice used stuff you could put a complete C5/6, LS1, or combination of the two system on for quite a bit less than $2500. Mine came in at under $2k (just) including a new Hydratech hydroboost system.

We need to get more details to helpmguide you into a kit thats not overkill and won't have issues as there are kits that are not NEARLY the quality of others!
