Gears for 69' 8.2 10 bolt?

I have been researching the gears for the 8.2 10 bolt, currently in the stock rear sets 4.56 ratio gears, and im looking to get something to cruise with. Im considering 3.55 or 3.73. I have found some on JEGS, a set of 3.55, and they have the ability to purchase a package deal. Shown in the link below.

I dont think i really need all this mess, surly i can just order a set of gears, gasket set, along with some rear end oil and be done with it correct?

Is there any advice that anybody can give me before pulling the trigger on either ratio of gear sets? Anything will be appriciated. (Do's, dont', wooda shoulda type comments)

You will at least need the shims, crush sleeve and bearings for the pinion, so best to get the kit and replace it all, probably will cost more for the individual parts you need than the kit.
