is this lightweight, two piece, bolt-in, fire extinguisher mount that's super easy to use when you've gotta get the white stuff (or clear if you're using Halon) on the red stuff!!

Just pull the handle and voila ... one extinguisher ready for use! No fumbling, cussing, sweating bullets while trying to get that sucker free.

I bolted the extinguisher brace to the retaining bracket and then the entire mount assembly to the back panel. This mount lends itself to being placed anywhere there's a flat surface ... on the floor behind the seat, horizontal under the front seat bracket, you pick. And don't forget the shop, kitchen, and perhaps the bathroom (time to cut back on the jalapenos if you need a fire extinguisher in the bathroom).

The hardest part was figuring out where to locate it so I could get easy access to the handle. Literally ... it took longer to find a good location than it did to mark and drill holes, and then bolt the extinguisher to the mount.

Cool piece of gear....I picked up an extinguisher mount thats very similiar...two piece billet alloy with a side pull release. Soon as I saw it advertised, I thought it was a good idea. When you need an extinguisher, you need it right now....lol.

FIY,This is not meant to replace a complete full blown fire system,Just something that everybody could just use in any hot rod, streetrod, classis car,All of these cars should have something for saftey.Thank'sScott Mock.

What's also event-specific is that you'll flunk Tech Inspection if your extinguisher is plastic or metal "tie-wrapped" to whatever it's being held against. It's either hose clamps which look really bush league or something really nice such as this mount. The mount lends a much more professional touch to something everyone should have ready access to anytime they're enjoying their car ...
