It will all be set in the ECM if you are still EFI. The stock idles vary from car to car and trans to trans.

In other words, an 05 GTO with an M6 is 800 RPM hot, an 05 GTO A4 is 550 RPM hot park or in gear. An 05 Vette M6 is 650 RPM hot. And an 05 Vette A4 is 575 RPM in gear hot and 600RPM in park hot.

If it is all stock I would say an idle of 600-650 would be fine and all depends on converter and idle vacuum.

It will also depend on if the ECM has inputs to tell it if it is in gear as well as if it can tell if the AC is engaged (if equipped) or if it can tell if the cooling fans come on. All of these can effect idle quality and transition. The more loads you have on it (in gear, AC on, cooling fans on) and the ECM does not have any inputs to let it know this is going on, then the higher the base idle airflow will have to be to hold a good idle.

Hope that helps.
