-All metal was bought from SS396.com a.k.a. Ground Up restoration
-Ridetech 4 link Airbar with Musclebar rear swaybar-future airride setup w/ onboard compressor
-Boss 338 wheels 20X10, found out that I need the 18X9.5's for assured clearance (were cheap, but I liked the style) tires are cheap used ones I bought for mock up
-Aeromotive 15g fuel cell with baffling and eliminator pump for carb or efi up to a gazillion horsepower capable
Future material;
-Moser M9 fabricated rear end shortened 35 or 40 spine axles
-6 speed trans?
-502 ram jet efi engine or LS3-6-7-9 or lsx (depends on overtime or lottery) would like an aluminum block though..
-New subframe - heidts?speedtech?TCI?DSE?
Next Fabrication;
-Smooth firewall
-Replace cowl panels
-mock up front fenders w/ doors
-Frame connectors
-Custom interior metal?.?
AGAIN, this is my first project and with the HUGE help of my metal guy it's coming to life
..please comment or make suggestions.. negative/positive, informative, or questions...all are welcome!
Hopefully i'll be wrapping up this thread in a year or two!

He only makes them for the movies or stunt cars; http://www.rodsandracers.com/
and he actually works on the cars he brings in, unlike most shops that just have it sitting there.. great guy.

Where does the project name "Rouse" come from?
juarch328
10-08-2011, 09:01 AM
Rouse means to awaken.. and since she was sleeping in a few feet of mud and dirt for a number of years, the name fit.

Ah, I get it. I used to know some people with last name Rouse (pronounced like house but of course with an "R") and thought that might be it. That pronunciation didn't even cross my mind.
The name fits though, very cool.

Great project!! At first it looked like a basket case but it's really coming along. You mentioned future parts, what's your future vision for the whole car?

My main objective is to not base the car off of another that I see online. My metal guy is pretty good at running with any idea I have and also giving me ideas himself.
After I see the car every few days, I always debate on other details I can add or delete.. the next one being the package tray; My idea was to have something similar to a pontiac solstice on the package tray, but only more gradual of a hump ----> 50819
But...we will see...maybe i'll break down and pay for a rendering of my ideas
