After the paint fiasco the beginning of the year I had to strip the car completely and start over. Pascual Marquez (Marquez Design) re-did all the prep for paint and I'll be painting it myself this time; should have painted it last time.

Pascual is very good at the metalwork/prep end of things and although it's tough to see with the reduced pics the gaps are super nice. All the pieces fit virtually perfect as compared to the way they were new in 69. Ran the brake lines and set the engine in yesterday. Now the thrash to make SEMA begins.

I did find out that my relocated A/C compressor hits the sway bar so I'm looking for a solution presently. I'm making a new post in the suspension section if anyone knows more about the Stock Car Products sway bars and how they mount.

You can see more pics on my site below.

Man...that engine looks like it's alive just sitting there. Almost like it's aware of it's existance and is just waiting for the fuel so it can unleash it's terror. Like a crazed robot hunched down in the engine cabin getting ready to stand up, walk out of the frame, and start shooting people with it's turbo chargers.

.....or something like that.

Looks great Jody!

Yes you did. I originally was going to have the car ready for Power Tour this year. It was the beginning of December and too cold to paint at my shop so I hired a painter with a booth to spray for me and I continued with the suspension, etc. He had "issues" with the paint four times in a row, so I gave up and stripped the car again to bare metal and started over. Going to spray it myself which is what I should have done in the first place.

Ok I thought I saw it in black on your site but didn't think much of since your rendering was also black! I will look good silver....are doing any kind of stripe if so what color!

Yes, since I'm using an SS hood I'm doing the hockey stripes in a darker silver, and the wheel spokes will be matching darker silver.

Jody,

Looks like you've got a 1-piece rear main block and a stock subframe. What oil pan did you select? Any fitment issues?

Also, I am a big fan of that 'Bud Moore Trans-Am Orange' color in your rendering. I seem to recall a post where you were unable to get just the right color. Silver and Black will look great.

Jody,

I don't understand. Your picture at the bottom of the screen is gold. Is that a different car? If not, where is the black rendering? :bsjerk:

Personally, that gold looks very good to me! I'm a big fan of something different. However, to each his own. R.P.

Ok at this point I am also confused with the color? Orange in lower sig pic, black on site, now silver. :attn:

Here's the black rendering from Kris Horton:

https://static1.pt-content.com/images/pt/2005/06/JodyPosterBlackwithurl-1.jpg

The orange one is the same car, just the first color choice:

https://static1.pt-content.com/images/pt/2005/06/Jody_69CamaroWIP1-1.jpg

Couldn't find a burnt orange to match that didn't involve a lot of pearl. As for the orange avatar, I've just been too lazy to switch it! Kris is going to do me another rendering in silver, but he's busy and I'm not going to bug him after putting him though all the color changes already!

Thanks guys! Fitting the Ron Davis intercooler now as well as the rest of the front clip. I like the fact that I can retain the stock hood latch. Here's where I am as of yesterday.

I can't believe it.
I was going to do the same color combo as you, since you're well ahead of me I need to do a new color scheme.
I was going to so the silver/dark silver/ matching rim center.

Deciding on a color combo is so hard.

Are you talking about the 90 degree aluminum adaptor for the monoblade? That is from Wilson Manifolds. If you're talking about the black rubber 90 degree boot that's from http://www.airflo.com/

Wilson Manifolds (http://www.wilsonmanifolds.com/)

I really liked the elbow and mono-blade setup; looked unique and the throttle response over a 4 barrel t.b. was better.

Damn, that orange would look killer in the sun. . I take it that you researched the colour before you decided to go with the silver?
Would you be willing to share :secret: the orange formula with us......seeing as you're not using it and all :naughty:

yea, that looks like a mustang TB. The pics are not cloe enough for me to tell.

The ones one your twin set up also look like the 90 to 70mm accufab race TB's for mustangs.

Yes, the yellow car had a 75mm Accufab Ford style monoblade. The new TT has twin 75mm throttle bodies.

Are the twins from Banks? Looks like their exhaust manifolds. How are they for fit/interference issues?

Forgot to answer, but the answer is I never did find that exact color. There were a few close ones from House of color, but they all had a lot of pearl in them, and didn't appeal to me for this car. That color was made up on Kris Hortons computer.

The turbos are from Precision and the manifolds are from Banks. Clearance is fine, much easier than the Kooks headers I had.
