Would like to get my harness ordered this week yet. Would like to hear opinions between the two. I am installing in 1968 Camaro with fuel injected LS motor, ididit column, heater and dual fans. No AC. Want to be sure the kit I order has it all.

The ron francis express kit is around $450 but doensn't include ignition or dimmer switchs (add $45)
From what I know it has provisions for EFI hook up and electronic gauges, autometer and such and supplies a connector for my ididit column. All delphi type connectors pre-installed.

Not as familiar with the AAW but does include the ignition and dimmer switch. Kit for camaro is $570. Some delphi type connectors shipped loose and have to buy or rent a delphi connector tool to complete the job (min. extra $30 plus shipping).

Is there more to the AAW for the price that I may be missing with the Ron Francis kit?

Also when talking to ron francis the kit comes with alternator plug.... my ls engine harness comes with one as well, which one would I use?

Please help.... hate wiring and am already loosing sleep over it!

Thanks

Can you give me some detail as of why AAW? What makes it worth the extra $100?

Edit.... just now noticed AAW has a highway series for $450 that may work also, what's the difference between the highway series vs their Camaro kit?

I am really happy with my AAW Classic update kit. Very easy to follow directions and wiring diagrams, very helpful tech support (via Email and phone) if have questions not covered or some custom stuff you need to do.

I think the difference between their classic update kit and the highway series is the classic update kit is designed for relatively stock with some updates (new relay driven headlights, electric fans, EFI, aftermarket gauges etc). While the highway kit is setup for a lot more customization, you might call them and ask what is best given your specific application.

Hands down I would use AAW again, very very happy with them, after reading a lot of threads around here on whose kit to use.

Only experience I have with Ron Francis was buying their crash relay to cutoff my electric fuel pump.

Another good thing about them is alot of their parts are exclusive to them.(gm correct plug's and socket's) I have classic update for both my cars. Hands down this is the most complete kit you can get. I would suggest going with the classic kit. Not trying to sell you anything but I became a dealer for them last year there that good. Shop around some guy's are selling pretty cheap, just be sure to figure shipping they are heavy. I try to pick my stuff up at a show that they attend when ever i can.

Well, I just ordered a AAW classic harness from Paradise Road rod & custom. He's got a good deal going on with the harnesses.

American Autowire here too. Never heard of the other guy so can't comment.
Look on here and Lateral-G and you'll see 99% of the people rec AAW.

I'm probably going to guy my 442 next and rewire that one with another AAW harness.
I just loved it that much.

I'll never buy another Painless harness again in my life.
It's night and day in quality and schematics are newbie friendly.
Painless doesn't know what a schematic is.
