Anyone Swapped a LSX into a 73-77 GM A Body Car Such As A Cutlass, Regal or Malibu???

This swap was not addressed in WS6's known swap sticky post on the site.

If you have how about information on parts used such as engine mounts, headers, wiring, cooling, transmission, trans cross-member, exhaust etc!

I am in the process of swapping an LS7 into my 1973 Grand Am. I have spoken with Phil Brewer at BRP Hotrods in Cummings, GA. He has all of the motor mounts, headers, and trans crossmember figured out for the '73-'77 GM A-body. He has told me that the F-body or GTO accessory drives are correct for this chassis. See his site at www.musclerods.com. He is very helpful.

Like all the BRP/Musclerods kits, its very well engineered, and they have the advantage of being close by to Hedman's "Husler" race header division. Because of that, its easy to have Hedman build multiple styles of headers for each body style...and they are test fitted and built right on the same cars that BRP fits the engines with! If you are interested in a kit, I can save you some money on it.

I'm currently in the process of swapping a 5.3 into my 77 El Camino. I have the motor in and everything wired up. I played with some headers that weren't meant for the Elk, and couldn't get them to work. I even tried the stock manifolds off the truck, but they hit the frame. My next shot is the Fbody manifolds that are supposed to be tighter. I'm using the stock clamshell frame and motor mounts with the motor mount adapters from Speedway Motors.

So far not bad...if you need pics or anything else, please let me know.
