I've had this car since my senior year in college in 97. It looked like crap when i got it. Over the years i did a lot of work. Working on my third motor now. The car has been sitting for 5 yrs. I'm looking to do something different to a 64 that no one has done before. If you guys have any suggestions or questions please share.

Hey guys thanks for the compliments. For my suspension I'm using MOOG coil springs with a 1.5 inch drop. For my alignment set up the caster is +5 and camber is -1, i'm sure that may change when engine is dropped in. As far as my steering, everything is stock along with power steering. I have a question for you all. I need new shocks, does anyone have any suggestions on what to use for a 1.5 drop?

Glad to see another x-framer on here. It all depends on your budget and what you want to do with the car. I'd start with CPP (http://www.classicperform.com) - they have everything for these cars to make them handle better on a budget. If you want to step up a notch, check out Global West (http://globalwest.net/1958-64impala.html). Let me know if you have any other questions with regards to 58-64 full size Chevy's... I'm no authority but there's not a single component on mine that's stock :)

Front is custom made adj. tubular chromoly arms, fully heimed, DA shockwaves with a CPP sway bar and quick ratio box. The rear was converted to a factory style 4-link, adjustable arms, and a custom watt's link setup instead of a PHR. Brakes are C4/C5 hybrid parts from Kore3 (amazing parts for a budget build). I should have some pics posted if you search other threads of mine - I don't want to hijack this guys thread. Hasn't been on the road in 4 years, should be getting it back soon and I'll report back. Honestly if 1/2 the parts available now were out when I started my build I would have just gone with shelf parts.
