Hey guys I'm thinking of making a offer on this 69 Camaro.

What I know about it.

*3 owner CA car
*Black and yellow plates
*Painted 10 yrs ago, driver quality, 1 door ding (dime size) 1 scratch in same door
*Vinyl top done same time as the paint.
*Buckets & console, interior super clean no rips or tears, faded carpet.
*307ci/350th
*4 wheel drum
*Cold AC

It seems to be a real nice driver quality car, the rear window area under the vinyl seems to be solid I do not feel any bumps or holes under the top.

So my question is what do you thinks its worth?

My plan if I purchase it.

*Replace the carpet
*Cowl hood (painted to match)
*Front spoiler
*Detail & drive it!

Thanks

Original color? In our market here that would probably be a 20-25K car. I personally couldn't see myself paying more than 15K for it though

Agreed on the underbody!!! Bought my car, and a year later found out it was wrecked and not fixed right Grrrrrr.
So I say get a auto report on it too and then decide.
But if it was clean 18

The under side seems solid CA car its whole life, I don't see any visual signs of previous wrecks.

Everybody's price guess seems about average (average is not necessarily reasonable). That said, California car does not equate to rust-free... I really like to laugh when people tout the benefits of "Southern cars," like that is supposed to be a good thing, and equate to a lack of corrosion (not). Expect rust, and plenty of other weird ****, and you should be happy with what you purchase, so long as the price is right. Just don't expect it to be as nice as it seems, because it never is.

Just think: Could you go on a date with a 40 year-old and expect a spotless history, perfect cosmetics, great intellect (or just ideal for your needs), and excellent health?
