Pro-touring towncar

I am looking to put a newer remote steering system on the towncar. I am using a 04 crown vic pump.
Now, the problem is I have read at the crown vic site that they have a EVO( electronic variable orifice) system on the newer Vic that controls the pressure that the steering box recieves. I have seen complaints on light steering response :drive1:, and the EVO is unpluged or bad.
I don't want my steering boxes seal to blow out( it's a new box) Is there anyway to control the pressure the box recieves. Could I use an EVO moduel to control the pressure but what to use to control the EVO.
Options Ideas????
