HOWS IT GOING GUYS ive been contemplating converting my 400 pontiac motor over to efi for a couple of days.. i thought i had my mind made up to go with the fast efi system, it seemed like an easy plug and play system .... the only thing that is bothering me is that i am goign to spend over 2k on the kit and i am limited to 550hp (not that i make that now) and i wont be able to use the system with a power adder in the future.....

so that bring sme to the megasquirt ii system. i really like the idea of this and i found a package that suits me well ..... http://www.diyautotune.com/catalog/carb-to-efi-installer-package-p-339.html

PLEASE KEEP IN MIND I WANT TO GO MULTI PORT ... so with this kit i would need a new intake, fuel rails and throttle body. (amongst other things) this would really start jacking up the price and probablyu wouldnt be able to AFFORD IT.... IS THERE ANY WAY TO USE ANOTHER KIND OF THROTTLE BODY OTHER THEN BUYING A STRAIGHT 4150 STYLE FOR $500+? (LS1?? MAYBE)

also does anyone know how much cfm the throttle body i buy needs to be? the engine right now is making around 380hp .....

thank you for any help please feel free to reccomend other options on efi systems ......

For a manifold use the Edelbrock Victor Pontiac EFI Manifold #50565, Fuel rail kit #50566 and fuel injectors. I am using an Accufab throttle body. any throttle body will be about 1000 CFM.I payed less than $500 for it.
Make sure what ever throttle body you use that it uses standard GM throttle position switch and air valve.

I heard Professional Products is going to re-release it's Powejection system for multi-port applications. If the computer is like the one they use in the Powerjection 3 system it will support boost if you decide to go that route later. No idea on the price though.
