Initially I had a 1:1 gear ratio and could not see boost to 3500 rpm but needed a calibrated blowthru carb. I then changed up to a 1.45:1 gear ratio when the new carb arrived and still barely saw 1lbs of boost at 4000rpm...

I then changed up to 1.75:1 ratio and saw 2.7 lbs at 3500rpm with low 12's A/F......Although this is promising I need overboost to enable me to utilise the wastgates and get some serious low end action on what is a very low compression but stout SBC.
This lot was put together and stripped down 3 times in last few weeks......!

So finally Terry at the Supercharger Store sent over a set of 2.05:1 gears....They had to be pressed on as opposed to slipped on like the others but boy.....This car is now pushing some air at idle...

Initial tests showed around 6lbs at 3500 rpm! That means a theoretical 25lbs+ at 6000rpm and way too much at 7000rpm. But hopefully I can bleed some of this of as well as choke of the incoming air via boost actuated iris dampers.....

Here's the burnout test at 1.45:1 4000rpm and 1lbs of boost......It was only afterwards I found I did not get WOT but that has since been addressed....

Notice the difference between the 1.75:1 and 2.05:1 gear sets....

Here are a couple of shots of the iris dampers. They were not needed as I don't think I encountered compressor surge up to 4000rpm but may be needed at higher rpms....
