Another truck pull trophy!

This year, along with better tires, I actually used it's hp by holding it in 1st until about 5100 (it has a 4700 shift point) and then shifting to 2nd gear...made all the difference. Last year it shifted into 2nd after about 30 ft and I went down the track at 3200 rpms... this year was almost a full pull, 291.36 feet. I got 2nd place this year, but the truck that beat me this year (same as last year) was an actual 5800 lb class pulling truck with weight added, heads, cam, headers, ladder bars, etc. The announcer commented that I must have big mufflers since no one could hear me, lol.

Yeah, I was teasing a couple guys I know that were also pulling and had pretty modded trucks that I still had my kids' car seats in the third row seat. And the guy running the scale balked at me and said, "you ain't gonna pull that are you?" I guess it shut him up. There were 15 trucks in this class this year, 16 last year, and I was again the quietest one. 3rd place last year, 2nd this year...that only leaves 1st for next year. I am going to add headers, a different muffler, and a larger tail pipe, along with a CAI. I would love to install an STS Turbo kit, but for $7500? I'll make do NA. lol
