I am putting a GMPP LS3 crate engine (with a Texas Speed 225/230 cam) in my 71 Chevelle. I am going with a built 4L65E from Prodigy and Ricks VaporWorx SS gas tank also from Prodigy to fuel it and a Speartech harness. I am pulling my not so old 355 from the car and installing a pair of 04 Z06 seats this weekend. I figured out how to wire the power seat so if anyone needs to know all you gotta do is wire the two orange wires to 12V(+) and the black wires to 12V(-) and voila it works. BTW the Z06 seats look awesome in the car. Best decision I made on the seats for sure. Will post pics tomorrow in daylight.

My plan is to do the engine/trans first then upgrade the suspension (maybe use the tall ATX spindles) really wanting some Fikse Profil 5 wheels god I hope I can find some for under 3K. And of course big 4-wheel discs (Baer or Wilwood).

The car is Viper blue with pearl white painted stripes I bought it for the body work its awesome straight rust free Arizona car. Its originally a green column shift 6 cylinder Malibu so don't knock me for modding it. It is an excellent clone though. The person I got it from (been looking for one for years) had a shop that did a great job on the paint.

Nice car if I could do it all over again I would do a clone in a heartbeat and would have been driving long time ago. Long as your hppy wit car is all that counts. Trsut me I have a SS that was missing engine (402) and theres nothing on car really left besides SS dash and all upgrades. Clones in my book are better for PRo-touring any day of the week!!! Keep us posted

Thanks for the kind words. This car has been my dream for 40 years since I was 5 years old in Kindergarten. It is extremely clean which makes it
a joy to work on.

Here is the before and after. Kind of looks like I am going in reverse. I got the Z06 seats fitted in. Had to make a small bracket and drill two new holes. But they sit real good. I have head room now too, my head hit the ceiling before. I will finish putting the interior together tomorrow and take some pics.

Under the hood I got a little bit more to unbolt and will have the short block out. I am selling the engine in pieces hoping to get a little more out of it that way. This is going to be one expensive project so I am hoping to sell some of my stuff to help out a little.

I put the air cleaner, Holley 770 Avenger, RPM Air Gap, chrome alternator and brackets up on ebay. Hopefully I will have enough posts here soon to be able to list in the classifieds cause I hate Ebay. I got a fan shroud (very nice) flex fan (also very nice) and two SS seats (in good condition) to post soon too. I will also part ways with the TH400 in the car which is in perfect shape and shift good.
