I just wanted to get on here to clear up any misunderstanding, and or false assumption regarding our lead time for tank builds. At the current moment and most all the time we are 3-4 weeks from order to ship some will go faster, and as always custom designs take longer. Evermore frequently it seems that we are getting accused of untimely ship/deliver dates when in reality we haven’t even seen a P/O from the dealer.

We appreciate all business from any and all companies in this hobby, but urge you , the end customer , to be aware of what is going on. We strive for the best customer service possible and welcome you to call the shop if you have any questions regarding your order weather you ordered direct, or through a dealer.

Thank You
Rick & Hector

I received my tank in 9 business days. It wasn't an off the shelf tank either. It was pretty much the same tank that went into the 48 hour Camaro. Hector was a big help and I owe him some pictures. Next time I can throw my car on my buddies lift I'll get some good shots.

I'll second that... Hector's customer service is great. He told me that I would have to wait close to a month for mine. I ended up seeing it in under 10 business days. He does everything that he can even to assist after the sale as I had a few questions for him once I received the tank.

I think it is time to bump this to the top as a reminder. If you have an order with a vendor for a tank and its taking a while simply give us a call and check on it. We are running 3-4 weeks build time right now. I was recently made aware of a customer who had a pending order for 4 months unfortunately we recieved a purchase order 4 months after the initail order was placed. Call the shop Hector, Eric , or Geno will be happy to let you know status of your order weather it was direct or a drop ship through a vendor.

Hi guys i would like to just reaffirm that if your aware of an issue that you may see in the feedback forum. I certainly dont hold the manufacturers of the items that im waiting on for the hold up in any way. My issue is with the Vendor. In my case being here on the other side of the world it can be a blessing and a pain when something goes wrong! cheers Tony

Feeling your pain Rick...

For the record...y'all run us out of several length of NA and SA coilovers in March and April. Same with Tru Turn systems. We'll be flush with Tru Turns by May 17 and the SA and NA coilovers by the end of the month. TA coilovers are still available immediately.
I've not seen it like this in 10 years. :)

Ah, that explains it. First thing I've bought for my car that actually had a wait time. :)

If I might add, I have used 4 of Hector's tanks in various builds. I already know it is going to be long lead, and plan the build accordingly. I would hope that folks are not that naive to call up and expect a tank to just be done, and sent in a couple of days. You can look at the product and tell it takes time to produce that kind of quality........

Two things are certain, good things are worth waiting for, and you get what you pay for, as quality at this level does not come cheap.......

Having said all that, I have heard a lot of biatchin about the tanks being so high........personally , I don't think it's that high, I know I couldn't build it for that.......

Mine showed up in 5 weeks just as I was told. Ordered from MCB and would have waited longer if required. It's the best tank out there and more than worth the wait. The key to this whole issue is communication. If you are told it will be at your door in a week and months later no tank...well you get the point. Ricks does it right and the only issue I see is if a given vendor is failing a given customer. Ricks isn't the issue.

Thanks again for a great tank!!!!

I'll be ordering mine directly thru Rick's when my frame gets completed. My tank will be custom dimensions, therefore, I ain't gonna give no one the opprtunity to mess it up but me. I want to make sure it's done right. So that's why I will deal directly with Rick's Tanks.
