Everything looks great, just curious though, why did you choose to epoxy the bungs vs welding?

well i wanted to weld but i don't have a tig and couldn't find a shop to do it for me.
i had also seen many guys do it on the megesquirt forums so if it good enough for them its good enough for me

2X on the epoxy vs welding. Helps keep the cost down. Especially if you hav to pay someone to do the welding.
hessdawg,
What brand epoxy did you use.

Neat project....the fuel rails polished up nice.
What determines the length of those injector bosses? I've seen them where the injector tip is sticking out into the intake runner quite a ways and then others are way up inside the boss and can't be seen, like these.

I would say the design of the manifold. The installed height of the injectors should all be the same so that the injectors all plug into the fuel rail equally.

depending on the spray pattern of the injector.you usually want to tip of the injector flush with the intake runner

Sorry to resurrect an old thread, but I was wondering where you got these technical drawings from... [QUOTE=hessdawg;828174]started with some tech drawings https://static1.pt-content.com/images/noimg.gif

Really nice setup!
I've been kicking around the idea of converting my 455 over to an EFI setup. Have you posted more in depth details on your setup elsewhere? You mentioned you're using a MegaSquirt setup?
What's your increase in MPG after you converted? I currently get around 8 mpg with my carb setup. That's what I'm mainly looking to improve upon

I may have missed it, what electronics are you using?

Haven't done a in depth build. log let me know if you have any questions on the set up
I had a Holley 926 and I would usually get around 7 or 8 mpg with a th350 and a 3.23 rear end
When I swapped to Holley projection tbi and a 200r4 with the same rear end it the best I got was 17mpg
It now has full sequential fuel and spark ms3x same 200r4 I'd like to go to a t56 double overdrive
But I now have a 4.11 rear end. Car isn't on The road yet so im not sure what what my mpg will be
