I need an opinion

I have been debating whether to keep my pontiac 350 or put in an SBC 350 in my car cause it will an everyday driver and which would be best. Rebuild a 400 or put in a brand new chevy engine? Any help would be appreciated.. Thanks, Cliff

I vote LS1! Ok I know that wasnt the question. If no LS1 a Chevy 350 would be less expensive than a Pontiac motor and probably cheaper to make more horsepower. But Do you really want the powerplant of your Pontiac to be chevy? That takes us back to the LS1 its supposed to be in a Pontiac too. Just being Devils Advocate. You must be feeling better your minds back on the car.

somewhat better my wife posted the question for me,it doesn't take long for me to run outta of steam then have to rest.Thanks I want to keep it as pontiac engine but won't be able to drive it much,it's not driveable now.The plan is to put 305\700R4 in it for now so I can drive it when when I am better.Then I can save for a LS-1 with a 6 speed it will take a while to save up but I am patient.
