I have a 77 TA with hookers headers and the floors gets pretty hot this time of year in minute..s which is better? dynamat? Thermo Tac heat mats? heat sheilds under the car? A combo? just wondering what setup you guys would use. thanks

Technically dynamat and second skin damplifier are vibration dampers. I also used second skin luxury liner pro for heat and sound. It works extremely well.

Take a look at Second Skin's Heatwave or HW pro.

Take a look at this item available online only; from Home Depot. I ordered it and it arrived in 4 days, and you can't argue about the price.

UltraTouch 48 in. x 6 ft. Radiant Barrier ($18.96).

I used SS Damplipfier then HW Pro from my firewall to just behind my front seats under the carpet as my headers definitely heat up the floor boards. I will be using the UltraTouch under the rest of the carpet and behind the rear seat. I will also top off the heat barrier with some mass loaded vinyl.

Update on my 442 interior project. To date I have been using Second Skin products. I have installed damplifier, Heatwave Pro (HP), and some UltraTouch heat insulator. I test fitted the Dual Gate shifter and console and trimmed the carpest and HP to fit around or under it. I then went looking for some close cell foam locally and found a vendor. Before going to their shop I stopped in at a local U-Pull it to get a few parts and see if I could scavenge some padding from a few late model wrecks. The first car I walked by was a 93 Lincoln Towncar. The rear seat was removed and I found that they have a 1/4 CCF padding under the entire rear seat all the way to the rear deck. It is bonded to a layer of mass load vinyl and I was able to pull the CCF/MLV pads from 4 other similar cars. I also had a wheel barrel full of other types of padding and trunk type carpet. Total cost out the door was under $21.00.

If your looking for a CCF MLV product check out the late model Lincolns at your local yard.

I think some infinitis and range rovers have it as well. Almost positive I found some in a range, but it smelled like ass so I left it.

question...is it possible to maybe wrap my headers while they are on the car?
