View Full Version : 4th gen, strange clutch problem

Just recently Gina noticed the clutch pedal feels soft and at times it sticks a quarter stroke down. She can pop it back up with her foot.
The clutch feels fine so I suspect the master is going or it took in some air. The slave looks dry, I had it up and used my fiberoptic scope to check it. No abnormal slack... wondering if any of you guys had this problem. TIA

the lt-1s are known for junk s/c,that would be my guess 1st.a new gm is the best bet.

I'm thinking it's the throwout bearing too. Especially being that she can kick it back out.

I have heard of several problems that cause this. one is that the supply line is to close to the exhaust. several of my drag budies have had to move and insulate the line. Then there is the drill mod. i would try those before i pulled the tranny.
