The swap kits come with the trans crossmember for your choice of transmission (T56, 4L60E, 4L80E, etc), the block side mounts, frame mounts, and all Grade 8 hardware for the installation. All the steel pieces are powder coated silver (looks similar to ceramic coating), and the urethane insulators (for the engine mounts and the trans mount) are Energy Suspension, with a lifetime warranty. You have a choice of red or black for the urethane. The mounts bolt up easily in existing holes in your frame. The biggest advantage to these kits, other than not having to worry about clearance issues with the tie rods to oil pan, coil packs to the heater box, or driveline vibrations is that they are engineered to work specifically with Hedman's headers. For most applications, we offer shorties, mid lengths, and full lengths, in a variety of sizes. Best of all its all USA made, right here in Georgia.

If needed, I can also offer some of the needed/desired items to complete the swaps...affordable custom built radiators, Cable-X boxes, performance parts, etc.

So its $429 for just the crossmember, bolts, & motor mounts? How much are headers, what brand are they, and what oil pan is required? I used a BMR crossmember in my 69 and is was $180. Are the mounts & stands that much? Scott

It may seem a little high at first, but this isn't some semi-universal plate kit. This is a fully engineered system for each specific model, that eliminates all the swap headaches...what headers will fit, oil pan to tie rod clearance, bellhousing bolt access, valve covers/coil packs hitting heater boxes, etc. If you add up the cost of a crossmember ($180), plus a set of plates ($80), frame mounts and trans mount ($90), and throw in the cost of powdercoating the mounts and the hardware, plus the shipping or time to track down all the parts you haven't really saved anything...comparing apples to apples. Every swap kit that BRP/Musclerods designs (on an actual, full optioned car) then goes to Hedman Headers to have not one, but several different types of headers designed specifically around it. That alone is worth the price to me. You don't have to rely on internet hearsay, or cut up a set of existing headers, or sacrifice clearance just to get a header on your car. You don't have to settle for 1 or 2 different headers, either...for most applications they have several. For first gen Camaros, they offer:
1 3/4" mid lengths $479
1 3/4" long tubes $639
1 3/4" to 1 7/8 " stepped long tubes $689
1 7/8" long tubes $659
1 7/8" to 2" stepped long tubes $789
2" long tubes $689

These prices are only through Bulldawg Musclecars to Pro Touring members, and reflect a substantial savings.

These aren't cheap Chinese headers either... they are 100% USA made by Hedman's Husler Racing Division, and have the thick flanges and quality construction you would expect. They come coated with Performance Coatings' ceramic coating, also, which is the highest quality you can buy.

Oil pan requirements vary according to the kit, but most (including this application) can use the GMPP Musclecar pan.

I just realized that I hadn't posted those years; its a different kit than the 82-up, but I inadvertantly left it off. Its $439.

How long are you going to be at these prices?

BulldawgMusclecars

As long as possible, but since I am not the manufacturer I have no control over any cost increases on the manufacturer end. I don't plan to raise my prices unless my cost increases.

Sorry I missed your post! The kit includes the upper shock crossmember, lower spring plates, hardware, and detailed instructions. Its especially helpful for minitubbed vehicles. The lower spring plates have built in mounts for parking brake cables that can be used for most rear disc conversions, including the '98-02 F-body style that the housing brackets are sold for.

I will be calling you to place an order for the '73-'77 GM A-body kit. I already have a trans crossmember, but will need the motor mounts and full length headers.

I can probably get them to break up the kit, but keep in mind that the geometry/mounting of the crossmember you have may be different. You'd probably be better off selling your existing one to someone else.
