Hi All,
Quick question im wheel shopping for my 72 chevelle and im wondering is anyone running 18x10" rims all around?

I like the idea of being able to rotate my tires.
I do plan on going front &rear BBK and re-done suspension.
(Im still on the fence of what suspension company to go with SC&C Stage2 or Bmr stage 2)

Thank you for any input or experience this web site is awesome!!:worship:
kind regards

Sorry I can't help you with the wheel question, but I've had a lot of help from Marcus from SC&C for my 69 chevelle. I highly recommend talking to him before making any decision. He's a wealth of knowledge and will always spend time with you. High quality products and he definitely knows his stuff.

I know on a '70 you can run a 17x9.5, and an 18 would be just as easy. 18x10 shouldn't be too difficult, but I'm not too sure on the wheel well differences.

What tires are you planning on running?

I was thinking 275/35R18 BFG's.

The rims I want are: Forgeline ZX3

I was going to PM you guys actually for a quote :)

thank you for any help

You are going to want at least the 275/40/18 in the rear. We typically run either a 18x8 or 18x9 up front with up to a 275/35/18 and 18x10 with up to 305/35 or 40 in the back depending on ride height and modifications. Give me a call and I will help get you going in the right direction.

Justin is spot on, and the reason I asked is because in all of those sizes, they are directional tires (read: left and rights) so you aren't going to be rotating them anyway. Like we always say, get what's right for the car, and what fits while looking proportionate, and that will get you the best stance possible. You'll be happier in the long run.

18x10.5 c5 z06 wheels all the way around on a 71 chevelle here. 295/45 rear and 275/40 front. I had a small amount of front tire rubbing on the sway bar at full lock. I swap the steering box to an iroc box and have no more rub.

Check out post #3 for a pic with black wheels. I am not at a computer right now so I can't post pics right now.
