Does anyone have a set they aren't gonna use or a vendor have a set. I've talked to Speedtech and they are out and they don't know if they'll have more made because of the popularity of the other systems they sell. I'm looking for the ones for 1st gen Camaro's. If you have any info please respond or PM me.
Thanks for the help,
David

Might check with Ed Miller flynbye.com he has a Hybrid system for second gens. Might for first gens. Heard he can be hard to get hold of sometimes but has good products.

This hybrid was developed beacuse it gives more clearance for certain wheels, esp TTII's, which won't fit with standard c5 rotors w/o a wheel spacer. The c4 rotor has a taller hat and moves the caliper inboard. If wheel clearance is not an issue, use c5 rotors (and brackets), as they are thicker than the c4 and the c5 pad abutments are designed for the thicker c5 rotor.

Thanks for the info guys. I had originally planned on running the 13" x 1" C4 rotor and C4 caliper. I had "heard" that the C5 calipers were "better". And, I really like the raised Corvette logo on the C5 calipers. I have drilled and slotted 13 x 1" C4 rotors and would prefer to still use them rather than take a bath on them.
I'm gonna run American Racing 200S wheels which I think are very similar to TTII's.
Everything I've seen on Kore's website is C5/C5 combo's, same for flynbye. I am planning on getting my rotors from them if I can find some brackets. I thought the C5 rotors were also 1" thick?? Are they thicker??
I'll try to call the Craigslist guy tomorrow
Thanks for the help guys, any other info is greatly appreciated,
David

OOOps, I meant I was planning on getting calipers from Kore3 in my earlier post
Good News!! The Craiglist guy in the earlier post does sell just the brackets for the C5/C4 swap - and at a really good price too!! Thanks for the link Stilo!!
Question for you guys running C5 brakes. Do you run a C5 master cylinder and do they bolt to a stock 1st gen power booster. I think the C5 master cylinder bore is 1". I'm running an adjustable proportioning valve now. I am also converting the rears to 4th gen camaro disc - not sure if this is what you guys call the ls1 rear?
Thanks again!!

Probably doen't help, but I'm using a 69 Camaro power disc/drum MC (1.125") with hydroboost. Works extremely well.
Yes - 98-02 Camaro/Firebird rear discs are commonly referred to as LS1, even though the same brakes came on every 4th gen...

I've thought about going to a hydroboost system, especially since the 48mm downdraft weber carbs I'm gonna run don't have a vacuum port. But they seem a little pricey - I haven't really shopped them though. My other option is an electric vacuum pump - which I was leaning toward......decisions, decisions......
Anyone know if a C5 master cylinder bolts to a first gen power brake booster??

There are two different flavors of 4th Gen rear brakes. The LT1's used cable actuated ebrakes on the calipers. The LS1's use the internal drum style ebrake.

Thanks for the catch! 93-97 actually even used rear drums on some cars I believe and z/28 got the LT1 rear discs. 98-02 cars all got rear drum-in-hat discs.

Thanks for the info guys. I have the LT1 brakes then because I have the brackets on the calipers. I got the kit late last week and it is very nice - even came with new inner bearings and new wheel studs. Got it from Mike Garcia Restoration Parts in California - good guy. Thanks again
