Can anyone tell me the pro's and con's of this kind of battery terminal?

Anybody?
Is it only for stereo systems to be attached to?
Can you use it for other systems that need to be wired to the battery?
Any help would appreciated.

do I see that right, the wires are secured via set screws? if so cons are loose wires, resistance, heat, fire.

yeah those look like a horrible idea, battery terminals should be much more secure than that, unless of course you are trying to burn down your ricer so you can get the insurance money and your dignity :p If you need to connect multiple circuits might I suggest a high quality terminal block off the battery with short protection?

Thanks Tom,
That's what I was looking for. I am pretty handy on most things automotive, but electrical is not my best.
Can you suggest a particular terminal block?
Thanks for the input.

There is nothing wrong with them. I have had some on my car for 10 years. Never had a set screw back out and I check them periodically. They are a good way to get multiple wires on a battery post. The car is driven enough for me to know that they work just my 2cents
