Can someone help me with a good link to how to fill in side marker lights? Searched the site and can't find anything? Thanks

Basic idea is get some sheet metal same thickness, if you can get behind the opening scribe the opening on to new metal. Then cut it slightly smaller think of gap about thickness of dime.
Then get some good ground off edges, no paint or nothing. If fender is curved simply try to replicate the curve in the piece.
Now I use a flat face magnets to hold it in place flush.
Then use a mig welder with gas shielding and .023" wire and make several small tacks, work one side then another, so any shrinkage pulls it tight against the other. no more than 1/4in or less beads. The tacks should not be high if done right minimal grinding is required and well as minimal filler.
Keep bucket of clean water and cotton rag to dampen it if it seems hot. Patience works best on sheet metal work. Ill try to find link to short video.

Thanks a lot Lee for the help I really appreciate it. Exactly what I was looking for. I can weld I am just not that great yet, on the metal forming stuff. I didn't know how much forming I had to do. I am doing this on a 1971 nova.

Hey Lance - if memory serves me, this guy had a pictorial. Maybe PM him and ask to restore the links?
