View Full Version : A big thank you to NOT A TA

This is belated, but I wanted to say a public thank you to John, NOT A TA. I posted on another forum (Grassroots Motorsports) about wanting to attend a rallycross event across the state (FL) from me and my hesitance to participate due to concerns that I might damage the car at the event and I'd be 3 hours from home. Well John is local-ish to that area and sent me a PM here on p-t.com making an incredibly magnanimous offer of help, support, and even a place to stay if things went bad. It was enough to give me the courage to go and participate, and have a ton of fun... and fortunately, with no problems!

I was and am truly appreciative of John's offer and am in complete awe of anyone that would extend such an offer without knowing me more than by my posts on the forums. Thanks again John for providing a huge bit of reassurance that gave me the courage to go out and bang on the car the way we build 'em to be.

John is a class act and loves to help out where he can. We should be greatful to have people like him in our company.

I've only talked to him a couple of times but he helped me sort of an ignition issue I had that was a bit of a riddle. I would likely still be fighting with it if it wasn't for him.

Cool story. I've received some great PM's from this and other automotive boards with some great offeres of help and support. Can meet some great folks in this "hobby."

Now where are the pics and video of the event?

I knew someone would ask, but I don't wanna derail my thank you to John, so I started another thread: https://www.pro-touring.com/showthread.php?81749-Some-pics-and-video-from-rallycross-Palm-Beach-Internations-Raceway&p=822166#post822166

Albert, the big tracks are fun eh? You can see why I put all the safety equipment in my car.

Craig, We use the kids for gator bait. Hope we don't loose one! ahahaha

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA - good one James!!

Seriously, John volunteered to help me figure out my freakshow MSD E-Curve distributor, He studied the tuning charts from the manual, called MSD Tech Support on his own, and took at least 8 of my phone calls on a Saturday while I was tuning the car ...... John a stand up guy? a class act? YEA, he's all that and more. Glad to call him a friend and always appreciate his vast knowledge!!
