Is there anyone running this kit on their car here? It's made for a 9" Torino bearing setup. When we ordered the kit, we were also ordering a Moser 12 bolt from Frank at Prodigy. Baer told us that we needed a 2.5" axle standoff to run this kit, and this info was passed along to Frank to make sure there would be no issues.

Fast forward 4 months and we finally got around to assembling the brakes on the rear...
We have varying clearance between the the inner parking brake drum lip and the backing plate of ~0.009 to 0.035". I am waiting on an email back from Baer on a minimum clearance between these 2 pieces, but they suggested possibly having to put the rotors on a lathe and turning the drum lip down to gain more clearance.

Does this seem a bit silly to anyone else to have to machine rotors to make a $1200 kit fit right? Certainly there is someone here running this kit on their project. Did you run into extremely limited clearance or is this just our bad luck?

2.5 inches is the correct offset for the torino/new ford big bearing axle ends. Any other info from Baer?

Baer said 0.030 is sufficient clearance so we ended up having 0.030 cut off the lip of the drum area to true it up. A co-worker threw them on the lathe and it was free. Not a big deal in the end, but it's something to double check if you end up running this particular Baer kit. The shoes are still well inside the drum so there is no worries there.

Crazy, just caught this. So did you ever verify that the 2.5 from Moser was dead on?

Yeah I did verify that it was 2.5" with a dial caliper. It's weird but I guess it is what it is. All taken care of now.
