I can't believe I forgot to post a hello thread when I registered here....

Anyways, I started working for W2W in October of last year. I built and handle our website as well as take pictures, sales, and produce new artwork.

I've been around racing and hot rodding pretty much my whole life and have worked in the industry a little over 10 years. Right now I am 31 years of age.

I've owned several cars of the years and am working on a new project right now. I mostly a GM guy however I can appreciate just about anything with wheels, and a nice motor.

Now for my latest project

This could be considered my modern touring project you could say.

A few years ago I purchased a house so most of my car money has shrunk for a little bit. With that the scale of my vehicles has shrunk too.:)

Here is my Caddy CTSV-R 1/10 scale all wheel drive sedan.
It puts out a whopping 970 gm/cm of torque and handles like it's on rails.

With our given sense to modify and the availability of parts I've done quite a few mods to gain a competitive edge. I will be racing the car on indoor carpet tracks this season.

On with the pics.

Here is the factory chassis after I finished building.

Now in it's present state before I put the electronics back in it.

Mods include.
Aftermarket carbon chassis
All main pieces replaced with carbon alternatives
Billet control arm mounts
And a great speed controller with launch programs and really good brakes.

So, thanks for checking out my thread and a proper hello to all and this spiffy little site on the net.

And, I have another project in it's planning stages. This one will be full scale:) Just need to start gathering funds.

Thats a cool little project and welcome to the site. I am shocked at how much detail it has.

Kevin,

That is one sweet car you got there. It makes me want to go dig out my old (circa '97) RC cars now. I built a really cool Nascar one time, but the thing is probably so outdated it's not even funny.

Thanks for the welcome guys.

It's pretty much like a real car regarding setup. 1 mm makes a huge difference on any adjustment. I even have to weigh it out and try to get it as close to 50/50 as possible...

I think I got ya beat Ralph. I got the bug to start racing again so I pulled out all my equipment and noticed my cert stickers on my radios said 1992! I knew I had to get another car to be competitive.

So I have 3 other outdated cars I can make some Frankenstein vehicle out of.

Gotta love the chassis plate too:)

Sweet, I thought I was the only one that messed with these things.

I have three: HPI super nitro, Bolink dragster, and kyosho mp7.5

The Kyosho 1/8th scale buggy is the most fun!

a few years ago myself and five friends bought the hpi rally cars and made a course in the dirt to race. I have never laughed so hard in my life, it was a blast.

Bah, young pups. :hammer: I have two survivors from my youth, a Kyosho Optima and a Kysho Turbo Optima Mid SE. Early 80's for the Optima and mid 80's at most for the turbo. I even have the Tower Hobbies catalog that I ordered each one of them from with the "wish list" circled on several of the pages.

Last year I heard about a local "Classic" RC group that races at the local track and decided to update the Turbo Mid with new shocks, bearings, etc... all of the stuff I couldn't afford as an early teen when these cars were new. Seeing all of the old school RC-10's, Team Losi's, etc in my class, plus all of the beginner guys running Grasshoppers and Blackfoot trucks... it's so much fun that it was like going back in time. To bad I was messing around with the car in the street and caught a concrete lip at full tilt (nearly 38 MPH, for a 4wd 1/10 scale buggy, that's haulin!) and crushed the upper fiberglass plate in a nice realistic looking flip. I've been watching EBay for about a month now looking for a replacement since they pop up there quite often.

Good luck with your car. Love those CTS-V's! Been looking for a real one since GM put employee discounting on them.
