This is a '69 Camaro that I picked up that started as a pro-street car. I pulled all of the pro-street stuff out except for the Alston 8 point cage.

Car is about 8 weeks behind schedule due to engine builders that cant keep there promises but it will be getting a 420 hp 383 that should be here in one week.

Other items I installed:

12 bolt posi, Global West upper control arms, Global West sway bar, new Baer Track Plus brake system with 13" rotors up front and 12" rear, 17x9.5 Torque Thrusts with new 275/40 BF Goodrich G-Force Sport tires on all four corners, Muncie M-21 rebuilt in 2008(have receipts), 2" drop leaf springs, new engine wiring harness, re-installed new heater control, heater core, and boxes, all weather stripping has been replaced including at hood and trunk.

Interior of the car is cherry and I just ordered new Corbeau seats.

These pics are without engine and rear drop leafs installed.

Got a call from the engine builder today and he finally finished motor. He told me it dynoed at 421 HP. Buy the time I get the motor she should be done in about 3 weeks from today so if anyone is interested please let me know.

Thanks guys. Motor showed up on August 30th. I have the build and dyno sheet. It's all Eagle components with Speed Pro pistons. Basically building this one as a nice street driver, 421 HP at around 5600 rpm.

Resurfaced the flywheel and through on a new Center Force 2 clutch and pressure plate.

Waiting on throwing the motor in because I'm thinking about a Speed Direct rack-n-pinion or may replace manual steering box with a power unit.

Motor, trans, driveshaft are in. Manual steering box was replaced with power unit. Had to drop her down off the jack stands before I bolted up the cross member just to get an idea of the stance up front. Looks like once I get everything else bolted in she should look perfect.

Oh, yeah, and my new Corbeau A4's showed up today. Thanks for the seats Andrew.

Yes, definitely for sale. The construction business is slow and I'm looking for an alternate way to make some extra cash. My brother-n-laws and I have 3 other cars we are going to be building as of now.

As soon as the other '69 gets out of body shop jail I will probably start posting that one also. The other cars they picked up are a 68 Camaro, 70 corvette, 70 GTO.

Thanks for the interest Tim, I'll keep you guy's posted.

My fuel pump, alternator, distributor, and radiator should be showing up tomorrow and then hopefully I'll get her fired up some time tomorrow night or the day after. Center console with Autometer gauge pod wont be showing up until the 25th.

Installed fuel tank, new fuel lines, new fuel pump, and new one wire alternator(previous alternator was for bracket mock up). The new Be Cool radiator and MSD distributor showed up but I ran out of time. Not much left to do to fire up motor.

I wont have time the rest of the week to work on her because I will be working on my car to prep it for Buttonwillow Race Park but I suspect I should be firing up motor next Monday or Tuesday.

Thanks man!!

A little more progress today. Installed driver side header, mounted radiator, lower radiator hose, power steering pump and belts. Installed distributor, wires, and spark plugs.

Still waiting on Autometer gauges that I ordered and need to mount coil and MSD box. Then I need to find some pretty wire looms and air cleaner.

My new center console showed up last week and I wanted to be sure the width of the new Corbeau seats wouldn't conflict with the center console so I set them in place.

Gracias!!

I mounted and wired MSD 6AL and blaster 2 coil yeaterday. Also wired up one wire alternator and ran new battery cable to trunk area. Made a phone call and Auto Meter Sport Comp gauges should be showing up tomorrow. Going to pick up wire looms and air cleaner today.

If timing works out and my day work doesn't get in the way I should be firing motor up this week.

Got the pretty little wire looms put on today along with the air cleaner. Hooked up the battery and then turned the lights on to be sure I've got juice. So far so good. Went to turn it over and nothing.

With a little help(Thanks Vince) realized I need to install a neutral safety switch. I could have bypassed it but since this one is up for sale I dont want to take any short cuts. Ordered the neutral safety switch and it should be here in a couple of days.

Wont be long now!!

Neutral safety switch has been installed and what a major PITA that was. Just need to finish wiring it up and I should be good to go.

Was going to take care of some small details today and then fire it up but I had to much running around to do so I will most likely be firing it up tomorrow.

Got the Camaro fired up today and took her outside. Still need to install rear drop leafs.

Looks like there are some issues with the used Holley carb I bought so we're going to give it a rebuild.

Headed to Dreamspeedmotors tomorrow and going to have my buddy Vince help me out with a few details.

Thanks Rod!! Had alot to do today but once I got the exhaust in, strapped the battery cable on, and bolted in the drivers seat I hopped in, fired her up, and never looked back. Car has alot of power and is way more comfortable to drive then my orange one. Drove it around for awhile and then called it a day. I almost hate to sell it. Really nice driving car.

Been a busy couple of days. Got the center console and Autometer gauge pod wired and bolted in, bolted in the new corbeau A4 seats, installed drop leafs, and swapped the 850 Holley for a 750.

Left to do......install shocks, alignment, trunk pan, and then give her a bath.

The white '69 is now registered and insured!! Been non-op since 2000.

Installed QA-1 single adjustable shocks on all four corners this morning and then took her out in the pouring rain. Thanks to the new weather stripping throughout no leaks!!

Scheduled for alignment tomorrow and trunk pan install this weekend.

I will be driving her around quite a bit this week to check for any quirks or bugs and if all is well will be driving her to the bay area this weekend for the trunk pan install.

Alignment complete and the car drives great!! Really impressed with the Baer Track Plus brake system. Car stops on a dime!! Had to adjust brake bias 3 times and could still use more bias toward rear.

Going to swap 850 Holley back in place of 750 because I noticed a little loss of power on the top end.

Trunk pan swap this weekend next and a little detail work and she'll be done!!

Going to drive her around for awhile to make sure there aren't any bugs or quirks. Intention is to sell a ready to run driver.

Currently in "keep the car mode". Car is solid, rust free, and has all original(or at least original GM) body panels and I've been thinking about holding on to it until I have the resources to put an LS motor in it only because she's a great driver but the gas mileage is horrible.
