I am installing a wilwood big brake package on my car and wondered if you use any thread sealant on the stainless steel fittings that screw into the callipers (not on the braided brake lines). I called wilwood and the tech said you can use teflon tape but then later i read in the instructions not to use any sealant. What do you guys think? Thanks

I like to use a little lube on stainless threads to help them squeeze the fitting without galling. Sometimes they bind and feel tight before the flitting is sealed and then you have a leak. A little ARP Ultra Torque works well.

only thing I would ever use teflon thread sealant on would be anything with a pipe thread, all other flared fittings no, now if you have leaks there are brass and copper seal washers for inverted flares and I have had some luck putting thread tape twisted into a rope behind the flare
