Audio for in car video...

I have a V.I.O. POV 1.5 (http://adrenalinefilms.ca/vio-pov-1-5m-moto-video-camera-with-4-gb-memory-card?Click=1001&utm_campaign=product_feed&utm_source=google&utm_medium=feed) video camera for shooting in car videos. The video quality is decent but the audio absolutely sucks!

Can anyone suggest an external mic I could plug into the camera body to improve the audio? Something that's geared toward the noisy motorsports environment?

Most any external mike will do. The trick is to get it out of the wind. I used to mount mine low in the back seat area where it would pick up the exhaust sound. That worked the best of any place I tried.
