all custom interior since my next class here at wyotech is custom trim and upholstrey.custom braces up front with coulovers and tubular a arms. obviously new wheels somethin at least 10 wide in the back and 8.5 at least up front. lots of body work, all the shaving when i get to street rod class. i plan to eventually do some type of ls swap but im thinking about taking the high performance engine class here and rebuilding the 455 and tuning it till i can afford the ls swap. once i get the new driveshaft and axles gears and brakelines the car will be in the wyotech scca road course race. lots of plans in the future. neverending project

I backhalfed the frame Built a kick up on the new frame rails, put in a ford 9 inch and built a torque arm rear suspension. still have to do the rear c5 discs and drive shaft and axles.. so much to do... but the school is wyotech and i bring my car in class.. i built the backhalf in the Motorsports Chassis Fabrication Class. had 30 days to do what ever i wanted to do chassiswise.

oh no its all me building the car. when you go to wyotech they give you a chance to work on your car in the class and do things that are related to the class and the instructors watch and criticize and help.

Thanks, this weekend im pulling the motor and trans. going to clean them up real good change all the filters and fluid and paint them all with the high heat aluminum color ceramic coated paint from duplicolor. ill put pics up as i progress

anybody know anywhere i can get sheet metal for this thing? i cant find any companies who sell g body,body parts! every other body style has a company that specializes in body parts for that style... havent found anyone yet

Pulled the engine and trans yesterday... was not an easy task! a big block with not modifications to fit is a little snug. but got it out with only taking off one header. going to separate the two and get the engine on my engine stand so i can get it cleaned up

Nice car man I have an '81 regal that I was thinking about putting a 455 big block in, but I have to ask why did you put a turbo 350 trans in it, wouldn't that 455 just tear that up.

Progress update:
Got the block stripped down, getting it all cleaned up for paint.. going to order new oversized rings and some Speed Pro Hypereutectic pistons and take it to one of the local machine shops so i can get it bored over. Big news for my regal. i found a guy from texas on cardomain.com and he is hookin me up with 2 rust free quarters, one is mint and one has a small dent. he is also sending me the whole front floorboard. he is a car guy and knows how tough these cars are to find parts for so he is really helping me out and not askin very much for them plus whatever shipping ends up being. Such a relief to know that my car will be about 85% rust free once i get all these panels! never thought i would be saying that so soon. But here's some pictures of my block after stripping it. also i found this grand national shirt in ocean city and had to get it

You could use anything from an old Muncie or Super t-10 4 speed, to a new Tremec or a T56, with the right bellhousing. For 4 speeds or Tremecs, use Quick Time #RM-8070. For an LS1-style T-56, use Quick Time #RM-8072. I can do $515 plus freight on either. I'll be offering everything else to do a manual trans swap in a G-body in the near future (already offer the bellhousings and transmissions).

wow thats awesome you have them.. not quite to that part of my build yet.. but i will definately keep that in mind.. i eventually want to do an ls swap just because i want to eventually have around 700hp and with my buick bb i would have to spend twice as much to make those numbers than i would with an ls. so if i was to get any transmission to mate up with mine id do a t-56 so that i could use it late with the ls. but then again i might as well wait till i get the ls so i dont have to get 2 different bell housings. but anyways thanks for the offer and i will definitely keep it in mind

Got a nice check today so i ordered my 19" and 18" zo6 wheels and Speedpro Hypereutectic pistons 0.30 over. so now i gotta get the block to the machinist so i can get it bored and honed. oh i also got the entire dash and old ventilation system out. i removed the mater cylinder and the brake booster as i am going to mount them under the dash so i can get a nice smooth firewall.

Got the new pistons and wheels. Almost have the block completely bare and ready for the machine shop. If anyone knows where i can get some cheap mock up tires for my wheels im looking for 245-275/ 30-35/ 18 and 295-345/30-45/ 19. emailed a couple shops on here that have used shop tires.. still waiting for a reply.

I got my engine completely stipped now.. just need to degrease, clean and paint it then its off to the machine shop. i found 4 19 inch tires on craigslist for 50$ there not the size i want but they will work until i can afford to buy the right ones. the tires are for the back and are Kumho Ecsta Supra 255-40-19's. I found a set of 18 inch tires for 75$ that im picking up tonight, and like the other tires there not exactly what i want but at least i can have my car on the wheels.

I got the tires for the front 4 dunlops 245 45 18's. real nice shape and i only paid 75$ for all 4. they will be on the wheels next week.

Got my tires on and wheels mounted today. the back wheels are further in than i want them.. i had early planned for wheels with 6 inch wide lips on them.. those were gonna cost me a lot more e than what i could afford. so i need to lengthen my axle housing a few inches on each side to compensate for the lack of offset. The back wheels fit because there are no tubs at all but the front front hits the sway bar when turned all the way so im going to have to do a spacer or some type of alteration to increase my wheelbase. if anyone has any other ideas to correct this problem im open for suggestions.. maybe ill just move the swaybar back..only time will tell

So i got horrible news today.... Machinist called and said i have a nice sized (probably not wort fixing) crack in the lifter valley... as much as id like to keep a buick engine in this car what i really want is an LS somethin and a t56. So unless i find a steal on another 455 buick block close to me im going to be waitin till i can afford a used ls. Not too big of a deal since im not in a hurry to drive it. i still have a ton more work in the body and suspension.

So I got a lot of my interior done while I was in custom trim and upholstery. Im in street rod fabrication class now and I shaved the fender vents off of the front fenders.. im Goin to shave the door handles, shave the drip rails, the firewall and put in tubs and new floor boards. Ill post pics as I progress
