10 years ago this month I joined Pro-Touring.com. This is the place that got me motivated to work on my car again. I spent a week perusing this site's content and that following weekend I rolled my jalopy out of the garage and started tearing her apart. ....and I haven't looked back since. I have made so many friends here and recieved more help and support than I can remember. I don't want to toot my own horn here but rather I want to take a moment to thank Larry, the other Mods, and all of you for helping me be passionate about hot rods again.
Here's to 10 more years. Cheers!

Imagine the money that's been spent in the last 10 years.
I don't dare add it all up.
Thank you Tony and thank you to everyone else that hangs out here.

Dude.....time to get cranking on your Camaro and get it down the road. It was ten years for me in April and I love this place. Best automotive forum by far!
Now Tony, in the last ten years I finished my GTO and built two RX7s, do you need me to come up there and finish your car for you in time for RTTH?

Andrew, yes. ...and bring friends. LOL.
Actually I will back in the garage the end of this month to continue working on it. We moved into a new home earlier this year and I just have a couple rooms left to paint and Momma has granted me permission to return to her. August, September, & October my focus will be on the car. I pretty much have everything I need to finish it, I just have a couple items left. RTTH's might be a long shot. Like I said, it's no longer a money issue anymore, it's now a time issue. Seems like it's getting harder and harder the older I get to find the time, my 3 boys take up a lot of it. I am grateful to Musclerodz and Prodigy Customs for getting me pretty much all the parts I needed this year.

Family and life certainly can take a toll on a car guy's time.. tough balancing act. Good luck Tony.

Boy if that ain't the truth.....well spoken. I know it takes forever to accomplish anything on car project...But....I wouldn't trade a minute of the quality family time for anything. I look back at my kids and see how quickly they have grown up.

Andrew, I've been mapping that out. I think I want to take the approach where I work from the easiest to the hardest. For instance I am going to finish the exterior (which is really just the glass, trim, and bumpers). Then I will jump underneath the car to dot the I's and cross the T's on the suspension and brakes. Finish up the engine cabin. Plumbing, wiring. Then try to start her. If successful then I can install the interior. After all that is said and done I just have to hope and pray that I put the engine together right or that it doesn't explode after sitting for 5 years. I expect to chase bugs on this thing for awhile; my penance for taking so damn long.
I'll be writing a book when this is over. I'm going to call it; "How NOT to build a Pro-Touring car"

Good stuff Tony, I now know what you mean when family takes up your time over the car.
Hope you can get it done and hopefully soon. I want to see it done just like everyone else.
