I should have killed someone last night..

About 2;30 Am I heard a big boom and tire screaching. I ran outside and a charcoal grill I was tossing out was laying about 10 feet from where i left it in the curb. It was hit by a car. I put it back and didnt look no further for damage.

Fast forward to today. I go out to go to work and find this nice little treat.

how far was the car off the road? if that is concrete, it couldn't have been thrown from a car or truck by a person. It would have had to be a semi, like a dumptruck. Im willing to bet that fell off a truck.

The chunk of concrete was thrown by someone , there is no scratching like it glanced off the paint. It looks to me like someone stood a few feet away and threw it from over their head. It seems to have hit the car at a right angle.Thats my opinion, unsolicited of course.

look at the angle of attack. it hit the car straight on at 4 feet off the ground. and must have been going 30 mph at least to crease a panel like that on a corner.

a vandal would have held the chunk over his head and dropped it downward onto the trunk. it would have been much harder to hit the car at this angle.

sounds to me like the chunk fell off a truck going fast, bounced off the bbq and then hit the car. I'd figure the trajectory, and go into the street in search of the pothole that dislodged it from the overloaded truck. Then look out for another truck going down my street, follow him back to the jobsite and sue their ass.

Yea.. I got a nice chunk of asphalt thrown through my back window (of my truck) by some kids late at night..

If I would have caught them I would probley be in jail right now... sad how some many youths have no respect for personal property.. there was a day when you didn't mess with someones car..

I park that car pretty close to the road to make way for everyone at the house to get out. There are no pot holes. The driveway dips down from the road about 24" (low car drag in and out) If someone was sitting in the passenger side of the car they would be sitting higher than my car looking down at it.

This is what happen (the Officers Theory)

Perp was travaling west The concrete was tossed at the car and the driver watching it happen swerved slightly noticed my Old grill making its "LAST STAND" hit the brakes and then my grill and garbage.

There are no marks on the road where it could have bounced. We have blacktop roads so the concrete can only be from a parking lot or a driveway.

It couldnt have bounced off the grill because the grill was on the other side of the car.
The cop agreed it was tossed from a car. Did I mention we have a bunch of Meth lab houses near by.

I didnt realize the car was in your driveway, at a right angle to the road. I think you are right about it leaving a vehicle. I think it would just knock over the bbq. We both must be bored to be discussing this in depth! Or we watch CSI too much.

my guess is it was thrown from a pickup not a car. at the right angle i doubt the chunk of concrete would have fallen more than a couple of feet from the car after it hit

my guess is someone threw it out of the car while going fast. the perp was hangin out the car far enough that they face planted the grill and knocked it around as the car passed by. well one can only hope.

and if anyone wants to see that actually happen to someone its on ebaumsworld.com except the kid hanging out the door face planted the tail light of a parked car. he got his though for what he just did a second before.
