I was going to buy a Techangle Torque wrench off our SnapOn guy this week. I could get 5 of these for the price of the SO. Subscribed. Do you guys plan on rolling out a 3/8 version that will get down to the 60 in/lb range?

Where is it made? USA or Asia?

We are working on a new line that will incorporate a 3/8" drive, 10 - 100 ft.lb range. Realistically, though, it will not be ready until mid-next year.

The steel components and ratchet of the wrench are made in Taiwan, and the assembly and electronics are done in Malaysia. Our repair / calibration facility is located in Chicago (as is our headquarters and warehouse).

However, I want to stress that our wrench is made using our unique and patented technology to measure torque. This technology is inherently much less expensive to manufacture than our competitors method - which is why we are able to offer the wrench at such an attractive price.

I ordered mine the day the special started. Talk about perfect timing. I killed my Harbor Freight cheap-o special the day before the Hotchkis autocross. I will be working on the car this weekend trying to figure out what came loose or broke. My guess is a shock mount at the top. So, I will be using it this weekend and will reply here. I can tell you one thing now. I like it's length.

I was waiting for feedback as well, but was on a cruise with little to no internet and missed out. Maybe there'll be another someday.

I put some batteries in mine and tested it out on some UPC arm mounts. It worked like it said in the video. It's easy to change between the in.lbs. and ft. lbs. Might take a lil' getting used to not having that "click" to let you know when you're there. You have to watch the read out. But as far as accuracy goes, you can't beat it. I love the size and feel of it as Larry mentioned. I'll be using it more this weekend with some wheels and rear springs.
I do feel more comfortable with this than the $30 dollar one from Napa!

Ordered mine last week, received just a couple days later. Now I have to wait some months before getting a hand on it but I'm pumped none-the-less.

Is that accurate enough for engine building?

Wow $50 rollers off it is really tempting but I would like one with a 3/8 drive for lighter work.
Do you have a release date yet?

We don't yet. It is something we are working pretty hard to get done quickly, but it is a lot of work.

I will keep you updated on the progress.

Hello?

Nick-

Sorry, I missed this one earlier. I imagine that the people on this forum could chime in, but I don't think that you would have any problems with our Torque Wrench accuracy for building engines.
