Not sure where to post this but since its its suspension related... I'm finishing up on a 3" DSE mini-tub kit w/ 335's in the rear on a 67 F-body CONVERTIBLE. I purchased a Rock Valley narrowed gas tank and relocated(inward) shackles and 3" drop springs. Room is pretty tight it seems. 4 questions:

- Is there a kit that works well with 3" Mini-Tub kits and avoids clearance issues???

- What size exhaust pipes do you guys recommend for my setup- 2.5" or 3" piping??

- Also, on a convertible I know shimming the X-brace under the car is required for most 2.5" exhaust pipes...but can it be shimmed and still offer proper support to accomodate 3" exhaust pipes as well??

- Lastly, Can I simply remove the X-brace. I'm running the DSE subframe connectors and using their crossmember brace which should add rigidity but being that its a Convertible I'm still a little weary of removing it completely.

BTW, car is mostly for street...but for occasional strip/racing use. 550 horse power and no roll cage.

Thanks, Chris

At that power level I'd recommend a 3" system. You can run 3" down the tunnel if you add some spacers to the crossbrace. I used a custom system from Dr Gas and a home made spacer.

You can also buy the system and spacer from Pypes.
