Saw this in the kids clothes section of JCPenney's in SouthCenter mall in Tukwila, WA.
Wow, you know you're in a legitimate hobby/sport/occupation when they start making kids clothes about it!
congratulations everyone,

Reminds me of a shirt I saw in a Mississippi Wal Mart back when I was stationed there. It was a boys shirt of a fictitious military unit: something like 22th Armor Brigade. Yes, they used a "th" after a TWO. A few days later my wife and I drove by talking about it. Since we had the camera we decided to go take a pic and put it on the internets. The shirts were gone, recalled or sold out.
Either one was plausible, being in Mississippi.

If it was a Camaro, then I'd believe it...ha ha

Did someone say Wal Mart?

Unlike Pro Street, and many other build styles, I don't think this one will go away anytime soon. Sure, the ridiculous "let's see how much money we can spend on a '69 Camaro"-type builds will eventually fade, but the cars with the true essence of Pro Touring will always be around. Who could be against building a car for excellent handling and braking, that can be driven anywhere? That is what I always wanted in a car, long before there was a name for it.

Yeaup, it's time to find the next new trend. Pro-touring just got wrecked by the mainstream.

I agree.. it'll always live on in some form or another. Aesthetics will come and go. But speed, versatility and functionality aren't fads.

Agreed 100%. I'll take any car that looks good and handles great versus the Pro-Street tanks that flooded the pages of Hot Rod in the 90's :spank2:

And the members here , unlike main stream america, understand 17s or 18s and mild cam in a muscle car makes it a cruizer not a PT car

That's pretty cool. However, Pro-Touring isn't just a West Coast thing anymore so it kinda leaves the rest of us out. I'd say the product development guy who was in charge of that wasn't thinking straight.
I'll buy one for my kid when they take "west coast" off. Or if they do a "midwest" and "east coast" version.

There's part of my problem. and IMO shirts like these worn by people who don't patronize the particular business just scream "poser"
Same deal with those lame OCC and west coast chopper shirts.

if you buy an official OCC or West Coast Chopper shirt, then you patronized the business a little bit by buying the shirt.. same with everyone with a Harley shirt that doesn't have a Harley- they had to buy the shirt somewhere..

i used to feel like that about Skateboarding..
poser is an awesome(but useless) word...
you can call them that.. but.. there is no law or anything about being a poser.
so they will keep posing..

reminds me when AC/DC partnered w/ WalMart to market their new album/tour. smart marketing? sure, but so lacking in credibility.
then again, the last thing they did w/ any credibility was 1980's Back In Black.

Is it even a real shop name on the shirt? Why all the talk of "posers"? To the little kids wearing it, and the moms who buy them, it's just a cool shirt with a car on it. If something that benign bothers you, I'd suspect you're insecure about your own "posing".
My 3yo (who wears that shirt BTW) spends as much time in the garage as many guys here do... does pretending to help make him a "poser"? :lmao:

I've been to two separate JCP and can't find this shirt. It's not like I went out looking but just happened to be around them these past two days, i swear. Who makes this shirt?

likely a sweatshop in Malaysia, India, or China.. they probably just threw a bunch of words from a few car websites with a picture of a car on a shirt and sell it wholesale to whatever store chains want to buy it.
i just realized i'm somewhat of a poser- i've got an officially licensed hat with a picture of the magic mushroom from Super Mario Brothers on the front and the words "know your roots" on the back- and i've never even owned a Nintendo product.. i got the hat because it was cheap and i needed a hat..

Whats next,,,,? Pro stock, multi cup holders, wire hub caps, 14 in white walls, bench seats, 8tracks and cassettes? 2 bbl V6 with single exhaust, whoa baby, cant stop the rush to that one.
(not to be confused with Pro Stock, which is a racing type which has NOTHING related to stock cars)
