my brother is having a hard time getting some specialty insurance for a new toy of his. For a once a month street drive the prices he'd been quoted are just high.
Any suggestions on insurance companies he can check with?

We use Alex Larue for our Chevelles. He was able to get us insurance on our 64 wagon when none of the big classic car insurance companies wanted to deal with us because it wasn't painted. Give him call, I'm sure he could help.

Classify the truck as a recreational vehicle, driven less than 5,000 miles a year and carry no comprehensive or collision on the vehicle. If someone else hits the car, their insurance pays to fix the truck, if your brother hits someone else, their car will still be covered by his insurance, but he'll have to flip the bill to fix the truck. Doing it this way should cut the quotes in half.
