The cousin was here, her 15(ish) year old daughter & her friend, & a 3 & 2 year old.
So I am looking for a place to stay for a week next year around this time IF they come back.....
Drive me crazy, only the 15 year old gets in trouble, the other 2 get whatever they want, & never get punished. DRIVES ME NUTS!

Looking for a place to stay would be a great idea, except you need to be looking for a place for your guest to stay other than your place!! I wouldn't leave my home for any relatives that act like that and if the wife didn't like it she could go stay with them somewhere else. Cousins don't constitute enough relativity for me to open up my house to kaos.
Just sayin.

Just put them to work next year have a big list painting yard work maybe some rock moving stuf like that or better yet have them clean your wheels and wash your car. After all that they won't want to come back and if they do you will get all your other stuff done so you have more time to work on the car

It's your house, lay down the rules. Be an a-hole.

Scot, Familly good or bad should not be taken for granted. They are just visiting and sounds like not very often. I say suck it up and be the better man. It might help with the Ms's to be supportive. If they are being disrespectful in your home let it be known. Talk with the cousin in-law. Maybe it will help her be a better parent. If not at least you tried and thats all you can do.
If it gets real bad just try to remember, they are leaving soon and you don't have to live with them.

I would lay down the law! Chores, no TV, kitchen duty, etc etc etc. But yeah, you kinda can't do that with a 2 and 3 yr old. You just have to weather that storm or seek shelter.
