Here are some updates of Bill's GTO. We got the frame narrowed and blasted. Once the coil overs and Global West bars show up, frame will be done. Found a little trouble under the gnarly heavy undercoat (see Andrew torching and scraping., So we need to do some patch work underneath.

The yellow convertible has gone home now and is at the turbo shop getting the final turbo stuff finished. They should be able to get it done soon. After that Pete's good buddy will do the new top and interior.

PS I noticed the pictures on the site are stretched out of proportion for some reason. Looks funny!

What happen to all the cars in the grass behind the yellow car next to the containers,

Ummm, if your cleaning up I'll take the black car on the north side of the building, or one of the other on the south side, don't want to say brand or year, :naughty:

looks like the project is coming along. I've got a soft spot for the GTO/Lamans cars so I'm really keeping an eye on this build. Keep it up.

Andrew,

Been there, done that. When I was a kid, 16 years old and bought my 69 GTO Judge, I must of purchased 10-12 spray cans of undercoating. Plus someone gave me a gallon of the stuff undiluted. Need I say more.

I paid the price 15 years later when it came to remove all that @%$%!*. I only had jack stands at the time and had no power tools. I had to crawl under the car to work on it. I ate more dust, crap, junk, etc. I looked like a zombie every time I came out from underneath. Body ached so bad, thought I was going to die.

Todays equipment, less work, however, still a very hard job. I'm glad its you and not me. I would think Bill the owner would feel the same way. Crew, keep up the excellent work. I wish you were in MI.

Lookin good Frank. I've been waiting for some updates on the car. Glad to see Bill's going with the 19's in the rear....that'll be killer. I'm sure once Kris finishes his renderings Bill will have them up here for our viewing.

Wow...that's gonna be a great car.

Tony,
19s up front
20X12s out back with 345x25x20 Pzeros. Should be nice looking out the back. About the renderings. Kris sent me a couple updates with some small changes last night in fact. He almost has the interior in now. The problem with convertibles is you have to do twice the work. He even has the logo in the headrest, so I am sure it will be killer when he finishes. And of course, I will post them up as soon as we finalize them.

Roger, you are so right, better them than me. I am afraid I would have let it go if it had been up to me. However, thankfully, Frank did the deed, because they uncovered the start of some rust issues that would have bitten me in the butt later.

If you click on Prodigy Custom's link and go to the pictures of the work, there is a good picture of the narrowed frame. The neat thing about the job is all the original body points, even behind the rearend, are still intact. We will even be able to use the stock gas tank. I am from the old school, so I really like the idea of retaining as much of the original look as possible. Hopefully it will have people doing a double take when they look at how he did that.
Thanks everyone for the comments.
