Hi guys, hope you can help. I know that there are a bunch of variables here which are different car to car but if you can offer me some insight based on experience it would help.

My friend and I are wanting to put 18s on a '69 Camaro. The car will be maybe 2" lowered from stock. We don't anticipate minitubs or relocation of the springs. What width wheel can we expect to get under there. a 10x18 would be awesome but I'm guessing will need more work than just relieving the wheel well lip...

If anyone is running 18s on a '69 Camaro with the stock rear end can you let me know what backspace you got there too.

We intend putting discs on the back too if that will make life easier - or worse for us.

Thanks for reading

The front will vary a bit based on the disc brakes your running. If stock disc brakes, 4.75 BS is perfect.

On the rear, 9.5" with 5.5 BS or 9" with 5.25 BS is perfect.

The rear disc brakes won;t change things enough to worry about.

Thanks for the quick reply there. For the front that's 4.75" BS on a 8x18? The front brakes are drums right now I was going to look into disc conversions next.

I know it should work the other way around but its a lot better for me if we can sort the wheels & tires first as the stock 15s won't go over the larger discs we want to use on the car.

So call me about brake options, it will make a difference in BS
