Which fuel management system would be best for first gen smallblock with Holley Stealth Ram FI and twin turbos? Any opinions and experience is greatly appreciated.

MegaSquirt. Completely DIY. Tunable with a laptop, Sequential fueling, ignition.

and budget...
Mega squirt is still the cheapest and the furthest from plug and play easy.
I am liking alot of the newer self tuning systems from FAST, Holley, etc. Self tuning not so good yet on a turbo setup. They all run the same and even the old gen 6 DFI will run just as fast. What you gain with newer stuff is more bells and whistles, which you may or may not need or want, and better faster interfacing to tune. First thing to find out is who is going to tune the car and go with what they want to use if possible.
Get it with a wideband for sure, sequential is no big deal

Thanks for your responses guys...my experience level is very low so I will give it to a local guy (Richmond Va.) that has a ton of experience with reprogramming GM LS computers and tuning cars. He has a very good reputation. Although first gen smallblocks are not his normal day to day business. Still not sure which is best and also don't want to spend an arm or a leg for it.

Looks like I'm going with the Holley Dominator setup. It has self learning capabilities and many good options like boost controller, traction control, meth inj., etc. Dennis at Moore Racecraft seems to be the go to guy since he helped design the system.

I think Holley's new system is amazing, though we haven't gotten to the driveability bit yet. Keep us informed how it works.

How long do you think it will be before you fire up Unfair? Do you have a certain goal? That is one bad car you are building!! Think I'm going to be a few months but will probably order the ECU tomorrow. Talked to Dennis at Moore Racecraft today and he is a real pleasure to deal with. Seems to be hard to find these days.

I purchased my Hp efi from Dennis. His customer service has been beyond my expectations. I put the system in my red 67 RS convertible. Ring a bell?!

Oh my gosh! What a suprise! Dan, how have you been? So the HP is working well? Did you do the tuning yourself?

You wont go wrong with the Dominator efi and Moore Racecraft. Dennis set up the main files for me and I have been tweaking them. It has tamed my 700 horses into a daily driver engine.
When you get bored of this project let me know. I am all over that ride.
You can also find real good info about Holley efi on Chevy talk.

That's great to hear about being somewhat easy to tune. Did you buy the touch screen or do you do everything from a laptop?
I will be glad to let you know if I get bored.:o) This one will be hard to let go just like the Camaro. She is going to be a pretty penny. Started a home building business last year and have put it on the back burner for a while. I'm jacked up again and not going to stop until it's running and driving. Trying to make the Goodguys Show in Charlotte, N.C. in October. Just bought the American Autowire Classic Update kit and going to get started on that and install the Dominator ECU. Also have to finish the fuel system but have all the parts for that except for the lines. It has all Weldon products from the tank to the FI. It is at the fabricators shop and I hope to get it back in a few days. He is doing all turbo/intercooler plumbing with all polished aluminum on the cold side and stainless all the way back for the hot side. He does beautiful work!

NICE!!
I know you don't cut corners . I am sure all the work will be top shelf. Do you have any pics of your build?
I ordered the lcd but it was back ordered (last Dec.) Since than I have been using the computer and cancelled the display. I have ordered three of the Holley efi gauges and will go that way instead and keep the stock look.
If I could do it over again I would order the Dom just because of the expand ability and dual afr capability.

I have pictures but need to figure out how to decrease the size of the picture for this website and still keep an original for future use. I did post some in the projects section on Lateralgnet I think under the Green Hornet. Did you know about this car? I bought it a little over a year ago unfinished out of California. It's a 50,000 mile car that was garage kept all it's life with no rust except for a very minor spot around the back glass!
PS I'm REALLY glad you are enjoying the Camaro!! It's a great car and I miss it! A good friend of mine said the other day, I'm not really a Chevy man but your old Camaro is the best looking car I have ever seen!
