Hi All! first thing first, the board is awesome, lots of nice rides, usefull infos, and the members seems to be all business.
I baught a 1972 Nova on Ebay a couple months ago, (stealth look) Hot rod satin grey and all the chrome blacked out, mild 355 engine, automatic trans though!
I'm in France, and do import US cars for a leaving. This one is for me though to play around here for friday night runs, and occasional track days.
For now it has all poly bushings all aroud, CPP disk brakes, CE traction bars, soft eight black 17 inch wheels.

I did order a bunch of parts for it whil it was in a 40' foot container sailing to France, like torker intake ( 15 USD on Ebay!), Nascar carbon fiber air cleaner, better looking racing seats, CPP drop spindles, tubular a arms, and the list goes on and on

I'm looking into some tall upper ball joints and wonder where you guys order?

I'm budget building this car, to show the french crowed that there is other cool american car than Mustangs!!!
Plans for the car is lower it ( it is a tractor now), watts link (homemade), bigger brakes up front ( maybe 2010 camaro brembo, with some disks) or some nascar 4 pot wilwood calipers.
The exhaust will exit in front of the rear tires.

I would like to go for a Trans am racer kinda feel, with a modern touch.

I will have way more questions when the car will be in the drive way next week.

Here is a couple pics as it is now, and a quick PS of the final look I'm aiming for

Please comment as you like any ideas will be appreciated

Ben

We have a lot of great site sponsors who sell brake and suspension parts and most know what they are doing and aren't just parts slingers. Take some time and go through the list to the right, just about everyone who sponsors the site is a regular poster here. Looks like you have a great start there, I like the satin grey and WELCOME TO THE SITE!!

Welcome!
it looks like the Nova has a great start. I'm sure you are going to enjoy it.
I'm liking the Gray/black too.. and the gas filler relocation is a nice touch too. I've been thinking of doing that to mine....

Thanks for the kind words Guys, I can't wait to see it in person, on top of being on a budget I love fabricating stuff so I look into some doable mods that can be home built. I'll try to keep the update as much as I can, should I start a build thread in the project board, I have a deadline for this build as we are doing a fair in Paris all american cars for the 100 years of chevrolet. Will see if the french crowd willlike this one.
