I need to identify the thread in my fuel cell, but i have not yet been able to do so. So if any of you could point me in the right direction, that would be really helpfull. Here are some photo's of the threading, please note that the measures are metric.

I'd love to help a fellow Dane out but it's hard to read the calipers. There isn't a common 19mm thread so if it's metric it's either 18 or 20mm but that 1.75 doesn't appear to fit in the threads like it should. Also, the fitting should have a shoulder on it for a sealing washer if it was that kind of thread. I'm guessing it's pipe thread, maybe it's even British standard pipe, depending on where it originated.

No you are right, it does appear to be close, but the 1.75 metric thread does not appear to fit exactly, but it is very close. The outside diameter of the thread is 21.2 mm and inner diameter is 17.9 mm. From what i have researched it could be something like British standard pipe, but i do not know how common this is in the US? The fuel cell came with the car, which came from California.

If the car originally came from California. They are a taper pipe thread. Appears to be a 1/2" taped pipe thread.

So if I understand you right, you say that this should fit: http://www.summitracing.com/parts/SUM-220847B/
