As many of you know, we did the custom front subframe on Vaughn's RTR-X '69 Mustang. It was a challenge because of the ride height, the width of the new Coyote 5.0 Ford engine and the fact he was running 18x10 front wheels and needed 55 degrees of steering angle! Well, the car is done and they did some shakedown runs with it recentely. I have told Vaughn he really needs to bring this car to Columbus!

That car looked killer at SEMA and was one of the many amazing Mustangs in the show. Good to see him flogging it!

Jason - If you are going up to Monroe for Formula D this year, Vaughn will have this car on display.

All the import mags had at least one pic of this rig in their SEMA coverage. The styling definitely crosses some barriers. Kudos on the build!

But can we go for rides in it? That is the question!

Wahoo! Almost nothing cooler than pushing an old car sideways. The read and extra photos was cool too.

Hey Craig...just curious, how many degrees of steering normally comes from the factory on one of those old ponies?

John- most suspensions that we design have a "normal" steering angle in the mid to low 30 degree range. Add a wide engine, wide wheels and move that to 55 degrees and it was a challenge to do!

Jason - yes, that IS the question! I don't think he's going to run that car at all, but we will see. I will let you know if rides are being offered.
