I have wanted to check out a B.J. for a while now, but I'll have to check my schedule. Maybe we could do a PT lunch/dinner?

Anyone can pay to go in a look at cars.. there's an additional fee to bid but you get free drinks :)

I thought Parsons said they did? Hmm.. Wonder what my car would bring at Scottsdale?

Right now that Blink 182 guy (Travis Barker) is sniffing around the car.. not that I want to sell, but I'm always happy to entertain offers. :)

Thinking about heading down on Sat w the GF. I've never been to one; what would be a good time to show up? I'm thinking mid afternoon, look at some cars, watch some bidding action and then head out to dinner. Feel free to PM me if you want to meet up...

If Penny goes across the Block at Scottsdale in January I am moving our Arizona trip up a couple of months to be there. I have always wanted to go to that auction.

I went last year and it was pretty interesting. The auction was what I expected to see, but what surprised me were the Ford and Chevrolet displays.

They were handing out lots of free swag and had a small arrive and drive type event set up.
However, after displaying a few good driving habits (proper seating position, looking ahead etc.) the GM rep just gave me free reign to go as quickly as I liked. I ended up getting to try my hand at tossing the big 5th gen around autocross style. I was actually quite disappointed with the big Camaro SS, but the whole thing was still a blast.

I have no idea if I can repeat the experience this year, but I figure it's worth a shot. If they have the same exact event setup, at least the ride-along hot laps with Corvette-driving Bondurant instructors are fun.

What day are you looking at going, Jon? Saturday is more expensive than either Friday or Sunday by 5 dollars. We should drag Matt along too if he's free.

Would be for me too.. I don't want to sell her, but every couple of months I get an offer.. currently the guy sniffing is Travis Barker (Blink182 drummer).. I supposed to put together a sales pitch and packet for his agent. I don't know, sell the car feels dirty.. but $$$ is always good for the family, especially these days. Track Rat would go quicker though, although it will never be BP.. I've peaked.. lol

What did you guys all think of it so far? The GM and Ford displays were still my favorite part. I'm still finding it hard to believe that ANY VW Van could sell for $198,000.00!
