I think you should be spending your time painting the railing on that porch instead of futzing around with that stupid old car.........J/K,of course-looks great and I like your "workbench"! I have one just like it except mine is gold instead of gray!

well i didn't get it all done but i did a lot cut out the floor and welded the cross member till i ran out of wire for the welder got some pic's for all of you

I'm doing something similar in front of my rear seat--it's kind of a bridge over the tunnel, but only meeting my through-the-floor connectors on each side of the tunnel. With some 2x3 rocker connectors front and rear (almost-ends of the subframe connectors), I'm at about 3 pounds of welding wire. The floor should hold a couple tons of bricks by now, however... Damn those performance aesthetics!

so I ran out of wire for my welder but i got far enuf to fit every thing is and drop the trans down into place check it out!!

Thanks!!! That was the idea build it once to hold up to anything. I will keep the pics coming next is get more wire, finish the welding on trans mount plate, weld the cross member in to the floor, and replace the drivers side floor pan at the same time. I will be taking a brake from the build till next week I'm going on vaca at 6:00 am tomorrow and i have a 4 hr drive to the air port tonight.

ok all welded up!!! and a coat of weld thru primer to keep the rust away. it fits better than i thought it would this weekend i will put it in the car and weld it in to the floor.

thanks!!!! I have the crossmember installed in the car. now Im installing the left front floor pan and fabing up a trans tunnel i will put up some pics soon
