View Full Version : Asked to represent our segment at an E3 party.. after party report with PICS!

You know you're in expensive company when you're the only car with lug nuts.. lol..
The big E3 electronic gaming show is in town and I guess Forza called up Meguiar's asking for some "old muscle built to handle" type car.. they thought of me to represent our segment.
Crazy exotic stuff.. half of it I can't even spell and have never seen in person like a Gumpert and Koenigsegg (drool)
They started setting up today (Tuesday) for the party Wednesday night.. lots of $$$ for 5 hours of party. I get a VIP pass and a guest pass.. open bar, food and some act supposed to play at 11pm. I think there's something going on with Top Gear.
Anyways, It's cool that a company like Forza even thought of our segement...

Congrats. Sorta cool...man, that's an understatement. If the reception to it is good (dumb statement) $20.00 says they offer to render your car in the next game; and if they don't offer, I'd be asking. Gran Turismo has been doing it the past couple games.

Not that I know of.. I'm just a prop.. although maybe some big shot will see it and want to put it in the game. I wouldn't bet money on that though. :)
Don't they already have a generic 68 Camaro in the game?

Tell the Turn 10 guys they need a '70-'73 Camaro, and a '68-72 Nova. Forza 4 needs those... I'm tired of using a '79 Z28 Camaro for a '71.
Also, tell them they need to allow the 1st Gen Camaro more tire, and to fix their renderings, they still sit high like a 4x4 even with 'race suspension' and slammed to the ground. And to allow more tire,... and to allow more tire under the car... Did I mention allow more tire under the car? 245s aren't going to cut it when you've got Penny-like power.
Oh, and tell them they need to add in local SoCal tracks to the game. Like Buttonwillow or Willowsprings, it'd be nice to have something local to 'practice' on rather than just Laguna Seca.
They have till November to meet my demands... lol I've already got the game pre-ordered. Still have to finish up Forza 3, there are 909 individual races to do... 60-70% done.

But, Forza4 is starting to look like a fun time. I can't wait, it'll pretty much be my life when it comes out... outside of working and doing real car stuff when I can afford it. lol

I was told Forza 4 has a '68 Camaro in it.. and it can be orange.. lol
Party was a great time.. I took the famous Doug Renner with me as my guest since I know he can class up any party or gathering. Got there early and the place got really crowded. People seemed to dig the Camaro and I got quite a few compliments. Food was catered by Wolfgang Puck.. lots of drinks.

Mr Renner (Of Dougie Fresh on the street) is typically the center of attention.. this was no exception. They had a badass system set up and they were doing the "moderatly priced car challenge" from Top Gear. The car was a KIA and the track was a digital of the Top Gear airport test track in England.. very cool.
Obviously Mr Renner doesn't feel he has to watch the road...

And he ended up having the third fastest time.. obviously she was impressed.. I heard him saying he was selling the '69 for KIA since it just "felt right".

Travis Barker of Blink182 was the main act.. He's a really nice guy and chose Penny as his favorite car at the event.. guess he's really into cars.

As a side note, this event was top shelf--catered by Wolf Gang Puck, they had some famous DJ there and the drummer from Blink 182 was on the skins rockin it hard for about an hour---really amazing night. The drummer (I think his name is Travis) and his crew were very interested in Penny---came over to Steve after crowd had thinned out about 1:00 A.M. and sat in Penny while Steve ran him through the whole car---they exchanged info---so, if you see Penny on the cover of their new album, you will know why. We also got to see the guy that played Mr T. on the most recent A Team movie--guess his name is RAMPAGE in the UFC---he took cuts in line, was hammered, but Rupp put him in his place--I have photos.
Thanks again Steve---what a completely amazing night of exotic cars, music, free food and drinks, models and video games. Shoot, you couldn't make up something that good. Dibs on next year if available. LOL.

ha ha why didn't I click on this thread sooner? Awesome Steve and Doug!! That is a night to remember. Now I understand why Doug has been MIA for a while. I'm guessing his wife somehow got a veiw of the pics and his hangover have prevented him from making any appearences for a while
