I'm looking to buy a set of 4th gen T/A bucket seats and have them shipped via Greyhound. Is this the best/cheapest way to ship these?? Also what's the best way to pack them ???

It's probably the cheapest, but make sure they are packed well. I have shipped a couple items that way & the box is always beet up badly. Seats are probably ok, especially if you plan to recover them. I cannot remember what insurance was available. I would just advise the seller to pack them well. Scott

I bought a set of the same seats on ebay, the guy I bought them from put the front seats in a homemade cardboard box and wrapped the box in clear stretch wrap to keep the box from falling apart and boxed and wrapped the rear seat the same way and shipped everything UPS ground, the cost was reasonable and everything showed up in great condition. It cost 35 cents per hundred dollars to insure, the first hundred is free, I had him add $500 more of insurance and that cost me an extra $1.75. good luck

Shipped a full set (including rears from the same car) from CA to TX via UPS ground if I recall. Cost about $175 which the buyer was happy to pay for these seats in mint condition on top of the then $600 sale price. Anyway, to move them I purchased some wardrobe moving boxes from the local UHaul ($10-$15ea maybe?) and cut them down to size. I wrapped the seats over several times with packing wrap ($20 from HomeDepot for a ridiculously long roll - you will be surprised at the number of things you will find to use this stuff on!). Oh - one hint with that wrap - it's soooooo much easier if you get a helper to hold whatever it is you are wrapping. The tighter you wrap the object with that stuff - the better it works). I used the smaller rear cusions to take up some of the additional space in each big box and additional foam packing as well. Hope some of that helps. Good luck!

Thanks for the tips. The seller had them nicely packed but based on their size theonly way he could think to ship was by truck. We found he could ship Greyhound for under $100 for the set of buckets. I've had fenders and such shipped via Greyhound before without incident. So hopefully the seats will get here ok too. Also takes less than 24 hrs to travel from Concord NC to here in Melbourne Fl. So thats a plus right there. I'll let ya know how this all works out.
