I had them shoot it black to check for high and low points....found a few. Tomorrow final prep and paint. Going with Acapulco Blue Paint. Long story short, I got screwed at a body shop where I had taken it apart, sanded to the metal and then it sat for two years. I pulled it out and took it to One Day Paint and Body.....yeah, One Day! I think it is going to come out really good and for a budget. Very excited! They straightend the car and finished a quarter repair and other metal work.......

My only concern would be that the black paint is cured enough to sand and paint over, if not it could be problems latter on. The last person I saw do the gloss black had sanded it all the way down to the primer to find the low spots. When I do a car I prime it, guide coat, block with 180, repair any low spots then reprime, guidecoat and block with 400. as each panel is finished I reguidecoat it and sand with 600 to make sure there are no deep scratches ( there is always the chance of something getting caught under the paper).

No prob, just don't want to see you have any problems down the road.

Car looks amazing. David and his team at One Day Paint and Body on Van Nuys and Saticoy did an amazing job. They corrected a lot of bad bodywork, straightened it out, hung everything and shot it. Now it is time to reassemble and then back to them for wetsand and polish. Right now the car is at Loris and she will go through it a bit and put on some 2008 mustang wheels to wake it up a bit more.
